# Manually set Link11 into Attack Mode

To set Network DDoS into Attack Mode, contact support.

To set Web DDoS into Attack Mode, for each instance find the "[Trigger Attack Mode](/product-guides/web-ddos/interface/instances.md#trigger-attack-mode)" control, and select "Enable".

**Note**: Enabling Attack Mode manually is risky. If the system has not identified an attack, Attack Mode tends to lead to false positives.

Once this mode has been enabled, the system will attempt to normalize the traffic, and then will drop out of Attack Mode. 

If there are no discernible traffic anomalies, enabling the Mode manually will usually cause the system to block a couple of legitimate IPs, and then stop.
