# Instances

In typical use, each domain that a customer wants to protect will get its own instance.

## **Name**

Is the CNAME of the instance and can be used in the origin as an alternative to an IP address

## **Status**

Displays the Status of WebDDoS instance.

The Status can only be active. If an instance is deactivated, the instance is no longer displayed.

## **Origin**

IP of origin server

## **DDoS Proxy IP**

IP of the WebDDoS proxy

## **Trigger Attack Mode**

Provides the ability for admins to manually enable or disable [attack mode](/product-guides/web-ddos/introduction.md#three-modes-for-security-posture) for an instance.
